Мне надоело хранить это в лайках.
Я бы прекрасно прожила без знания о существовании этой песни.
Но от тумблера никто ещё не уходил без разбитого сердца и горы носовых платков.
What about the time we met?
Well, I suppose that you could say that
We were playing hard to get
We didn't understand a thing
But we could always sing
What about the night we cried?
Because there wasn't any reason left
To keep it all inside
I never understood a word
But you were always there with a smile ©+++

"Conversely, McCartney’s diplomatic charm and mainstream instincts worked as a brake on Lennon’s anarchic disruptions and aggressive sarcasm, It was an idea match. They laughed at the same things, thought at the same speed, respected each other’s talent, and knew that their unspoken urge to best and surprise each other was crucial to the continuing vitality of their music" - Ian Macdonald, Revolution In The Head

“When you’re guys, you goof around a lot. You don’t actually sit down and say, ‘John, let me just tell you, you know? I think you’re a marvelous musician, and I really love you.’ ” - Paul McCartney

You and I have memories longer than the road that stretches out ahead.

“When I first auditioned them I said, ‘Who’s going to be the leader, is it John or Paul?’ Such an odd couple really, because they were different and yet very similar, both had big egos, both very good songwriters, but they needed each other like mad.” — George Martin [Mojo Magazine, 2007]

“One of my great memories of John is from when we were having some argument. I was disagreeing and we were calling each other names. We let it settle for a second and then he lowered his glasses and he said: “It’s only me.” And then he put his glasses back on again. To me, that was John. Those were the moments when I actually saw him without the facade, the armor, which I loved as well, like anyone else. It was a beautiful suit of armor. But it was wonderful when he let the visor down and you’d just see the John Lennon that he was frightened to reveal to the world.” - Paul McCartney

“We wrote our first songs together, we grew up together and we lived our lives together. And when we’d do it together, something special would happen. There’d be that little magic spark. I still remember his beery old breath when I first met him here [Woolton church fete] that day. But I soon came to love that beery old breath. And I loved John”. (Paul McCartney, 2003)

“John and I were two of the luckiest people in the twentieth century to have found each other. The partnership, the mix, was incredible. We both had submerged qualities that we each saw and knew. I had to be the bastard as well as the nice melodic one and John had to have a warm and loving side for me to stand him all those years. John and I would never have stood each other for that length of time had we been just one-dimensional.” (Paul McCartney)

"Are you kidding? Of course I bloody miss it. I’m sitting in the room with John, him with me. Believe me, we’re both pretty good editors. We were young turks. We were smartasses. And we did some amazing things. I would love him to be here now, saying, ‘Don’t bloody do that!’ – or, more wonderfully, ‘That’s great!’ So yeah, I really had the greatest writing partner." - Paul McCartney, 2010.
©А ещё я нашла невероятной красоты и душевности
видео про них под "In my life".
